After having managed to open a US bank account, the next quest is to open a Swiss bank account.

I’ve shortlisted two Kantonal Banks, however I also came a cross Corner Banca. Corner Trader is listed on this website under the brokers. Their website states they offer current accounts. Does anyone here have an opinion on/experience with Corner Banca ?

    My experience:
Corner Banca has an excellent customer service.
They speak a lot of languages.
Accounts for US LLC will be not excepted.
EU jurisdictions are welcome to open an account.

My experiences with Corner Banca have been mostly positive and as far as I can tell, they have a good reputation among its clients both resident and non-resident.

They are a bit more open to non-resident trading/commercial corporate clients (i.e., not wealth management) than for example UBS, Credit Suisse, and the cantonal banks.

One of my clients has a longlasting relationship with Corner Banca as a non-resident business account holder. They are very satisfied with the service of the bank.

By my self. Just call them or write an email.

They want to know your background story. Usually they want to know:
Why you want an account with them?
For want do you want to use the account for?
    Funding source of your account?
Where is the jurisdiction of your company?

Just try. If not, there are lots of other good banks.

    Mission accomplished.

At the first Kantonal Bank, ppl were not really friendly and refused to speak English. So we went across the street just to ‘feel’ how the Best Swiss Bank of 2016 felt. To our surprise they were wiling to open an account for EU citizens.

    Have to say, flawless execution.

Bob, did you open personal or business account? If a business one, in which jurisdiction is the business incorporated? (If I am not asking too much)

We started with personal accounts so as to build a relationship with the accountmanager. Next step will be a business account (for either a swiss based company (to be formed), or a northern european based company (also to be formed, however we would most likely bank in the formation jurisdiction, but we might try, ‘just for the sake of it’)). We do not expect, nor have the illusion they would welcome offshore ‘vehicles’.

One of the options we are currently investigating is doing a S.A. (holding+operating company) via startups.ch (you get a credit swiss account, and prices are very reasonable). Our main goal is to have privacy (and a SA would provide this as there is no reporting requirement for shareholders, afaik). Zug also has the lowest taxes in CH (12%, under CTRIII), and is the bitcoin capital. Draw backs are the requirement for a resident director, which basically means handing over the keys to the kingdom to a total stranger.

They are an incorporation mill. They know what they are doing. If you have specific questions contact please them.
